Day 18-20 Riga, Latvia

Day 18 Long Bus Ride

In the morning Olga and I went to some great view points of Tallinn that we learned about from Sven. Took some awesome Pictures! Went to a nice Cafe and then I was off on my way to the next place Riga!! The Bus ride was 4 and half hours long but It was quite a nice Bus service and very different from what I'm used to. There was a server on hand to take your coat, give you blankets/pillows, and there was a food menu to order from!... I just layed down on my nice pillow and went to sleep. Right now I'm on the computer typing on my Blog so everyone can follow my Journey! I hope everyone is because its alot of work... Tough to juggle things to give myself time to write on here... It took me about 5 hours to finish blogging... Feels great to be upto date now.

Costs- 18 Euros(25 US)

Day 19 Walking Tour and Nightlife

I stayed inside last night and didn't go out to any bars or clubs. I had been to them seven days straight. I love traveling but sometimes you need a break to rest your body. I slept in and went with my host Inese to a 2 hour walking tour. The tour was pretty nice because it was about areas of Riga that were off the beaten path. Next we grabbed a bite to eat at Hesburgers. Its a Finnish company similar to Mcdonalds. I ate two megaburgers and my stomach was full to the brim. I needed a nap afterwards. Inese took me to a place where you can buy beer from bottles that they have in there tap. Pretty cool because you save some money from not going to a Bar and its better than beer that's bottled. The Latvian beer was pretty good. Then we left the house and went to a few bars and ended the night at a dance club. Went to bed around 5 am ...

Day 20 Old Town Tour

Slept in pretty late because of the night before. I found a new website called www.airbnb.com and I'm pretty excited about it.... I love the concept of meeting new people, saving money, and traveling. Inese was nice enough to take me around Riga's Old Town. I was very impressed with the architecture. I was pretty curious about the Soviet Union era and I got some great stories from Inese about how the times were back then. Even though she wasn't too old she still could remember the way life was. I'm really blessed to have found out about Couch Surfing at this point in my life... I can't imagine traveling through Europe or anywhere without it.
