Day 49
Elina and I went with Sofia on her way to work. We left at 8:30 and had to catch our train at 9:39. You would think that'd be enough time huh? We took the way that had traffic and the highway parallel was going nice and quick. We arrived at Sofia's work and said our goodbyes. We had to hustle to catch the metro and than transfer to another line that took us to the train station. It was frustrating for me because I want to be on time and not waste anything. We were running and got to our track. Elina was downstairs at the automated machine and I was upstairs on the platform where I train just arrived. It was a couple minutes from leaving. The machine wasn't working quick enough for Elina so I rushed to ask someone who was working on the train if we could purchase tickets while on the train. Luckily he spoke English but unfortunately he said no. I was pretty upset but Elina was the calming force and after awhile I brushed my shoulders off and moved on. We had to pay 10 Euros extra and we caught the next train.
We arrived in Porto in the afternoon. Our hosts Ricardo and Ana met us at the station. Ricardo too use to a beautiful view point and shared some stories about the city. Our hosts are CS Ambassadors and it shows by how much they care for there guests. Then we took a tour through the city and the weather was perfect! At the end of the tour we went up a church tower to view the city. There were over 250 steps to get upto the top. When we finally reached the top I noticed there wasn't any safety net or something restricting you from falling over the tower. While Ricardo was explaining and showing the spots where we had been I started to get very scared. The wind was cold and strong. As we were walking around the tower I was grabbing objects connected to the wall to try and feel safer. I kept imaging myself falling off the tower. I've always been afraid of height but I've never been so scared where I thought I was about to have a panic attack. I started to take deep breaths and I calmed down a little but I was so happy when we were finished and down at the bottom of the tower on solid ground. We walked around the city and then stopped by a nice ice cream shop. The white chocolate I ordered was delicious! Ana picked us up and we went to the grocery store. It was getting pretty late and I was tired. We got back to there place and Ana made a nice meal right before we all drifted off to sleep.
Day 50
We woke up and had a nice light breakfast with cream cheese and tomatoes on bread. Took a bus to the city and jumped on a tram to see the scenic route by the water. Walked along the beaches and the sun was shinning down on us felt so good. We ate at the best bakery in town(Ricardo's pick) The codfish and chicken bites were to die for! Elina's friend Pedro met us near the city hall. We went out for some drinks and then wandered through the city. Later we joined Ricardo and Ana at a Turkish Restaurant. Before going to bed we all had some shots of Port Wine.

Day 47-48 Lisbon
Day 47
We took a bus from Faro to Lisbon(3.30 Hrs). Arrived at 11:30. Our hosts Sofia and Nuno picked us up and we went to a place for a little snack to munch on. Then we went into the sightseeing immediately. Went to the church, tower, and a number of places around the city. They invited us to a friends birthday party. It was being held later at night in a Portuguese Restaurant. When we got back to there place we only had 15 minutes to rest and then we had 15 more to get ready for the party. When you fill your schedule with too many things to see or do and don't include lag or rest time then it usually is too overwhelming. At the end of the night no matter what you're doing you just want to be in bed and sleeping because of everything from the day. The birthday party and dinner was very nice but I felt like a Zombie. I was so exhausted.
Day 48 Sintra
Nuno and Sofia took us on a nice tour of Sintra. Its an area north of Lisbon. We visited the most western part of Europe and it has a beautiful coast line. The wind was very powerful you had to yourself through just to walk. Elina and I cooked a Swedish dish for Sofia and Nuno. I can't remember the name of it but it was potato pancakes with lingonberry jam. Even with how great of a cook Elina is we had problems with the cooking. After awhile we got it working and it was yummy. Sofia baked some Brazilian bread that was scrumptious.
